K18 Leave In Molecular Repair Hair Mask
This is a leave in hair mask that claims to reverse hair damage. It contains K18PEPTIDE that mimics the hair structure and helps to reverse damage by reconnecting molecular bonds in the hair that may have been broken due to chemical treatments or heat. You’re recommended to not use any leave in or wash off conditioner after shampoo and apply this to towel dry hair after shampoo in the shower. It is also recommended to give about 5 minutes before combing hair after applying the product as that time period is said to provide the product to activate and start penetrating and working its benefits to the hair. I generally apply it and give it up to 10 minutes before applying a hair oil on top. I do notice my hair feeling and looking a lot softer and healthy after using it. I cannot attest to whether it has reduced or reversed split ends or other damage but I do feel this helps with general hair health maintenance and making hair feel less brittle. I did notice less dryness at my hair ends whenever I use this product once a week.

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair! Deep Conditioning Mask
This contains rosehip oil, algae extract, almond oil and biotin and it has been a favorite amongst Sephora hair care products for a couple of years now. This is a wash off treatment that you are supposed to leave on for 10 minutes before rinsing off. You can also use a plastic cap to wrap the product for deeper penetration into the hair follicles. From my experience, this product is mainly beneficial to combat frizz and dryness albeit not to the extent of hair oils. If you do not have colour treated hair, this product may be sufficient to hydrate your hair. However, if you have colour treated hair like I do, topping it off with a leave in conditioner or hair oil after wash off may still be required. It does give a silky feel to the hair and makes it look glossy and healthy. It does claim to make hair stronger by 2 times but I can’t particularly confirm if that was the case from my use.

Christophe Robin Shade Variation Mask
This product is only for people with colour treated hair as you would not have use for the colour pigments in this product otherwise. This contains almond oil and buriti oil that help with deep nourishment of hair while toning it. The colour deposit this provides is not as much as the Olaplex purple shampoo however, it is more of a 2 in 1 product to use in the shower and I generally do find the need to top off with a hair mask after toning as toning can be stripping to the hair. I usually use the baby blonde shade for this as my hair colouring leans blonde and this helps to tame brass, yellow and red tones that may be prominent if not for toning. It may not be a must have for everyone but definitely super beneficial to have as part of hair care arsenal if you have the concerns this product addresses. I do try to leave it on for at least 10 to 20 minutes before wash off so that I can get the maximum toning benefits from the colour deposits.
