This was one of the highlight products that rescued my skin when I was struggling with acne during the height of Covid when we had to wear face masks. As I live in a hot and humid climate, I was often getting congestion and deeper, painful acne during that period. I was looking to scale down my routine to a simple routine and looked for products that would calm and treat my skin while providing good hydration as my skin is dry. One of the main contributors to breakouts for me would be lack of hydration and the congested pores I was getting from usage of face masks that were at times abrasive against my skin was not helping either. I had seen a bunch of content on social media where this product was recommended by people with dry skin and it seemed to have a bit of a cult status. After consistently using this and supplementing my routine with a good moisturiser and sunscreen, I did notice that my breakouts had dramatically decreased. I then mostly had to treat any scarring that I had from previous breakouts. The anti inflammatory properties of mugwort really helped to calm my skin and tackle congested pores. As this is a single ingredient product that did not contain fragrance, it did not irritate my skin either as my skin barrier was compromised with my breakouts. It was pretty much the first step I used as my skin started to clear out.
Would I Recommend:
1000%, Yes. There are more mugwort options in the market now but this is a no frills product that simply works. It is more expensive than the typical K-Beauty essence and you do have to be careful with the packaging as it is made of glass. But with how well it worked for me I would highly recommend you try it especially if you have sensitive or acne prone skin or any time your skin is irritated or acting out.
