Review:
Japanese skincare seems to have either pioneered or popularised the concept of single use powder wash packaged in individual capsules and selling it as a pack. Kanebo Suisai’s product is generally the most known and a huge bestseller. However, after trying DHC’s spin on it, I have actually come to prefer it over the ever famous Kanebo Suisai powder wash. It lathers into a luxurious hydrating foam once you add a little bit of water to the powder and you can then work it into your skin. I found that it gives a little bit of hydration as well as gentle exfoliation which is what won me over as my dry skin absolutely loves that combination. It also did not strip my skin of its natural oils and it helped to get rid of some small whiteheads and blackheads as well. I loved how smooth and hydrated my skin was after using. This also makes a great option for travelling as it doesn’t count under the liquids quota especially if you are only travelling with carry on. This is absolutely one of my favourite finds from the Japanese drugstore.
Would I Recommend:
Yes, absolutely. If you have oilier skin, it is possible you may prefer Kanebo Suisai’s product. As for those concerned over the wastage of single use capsules, I did see DHC came out with a powder wash packaged in a bottle but I have not yet tried it so I can’t affirm if it is the exact same formula. It may also be a little hard to get your hands on this but I did notice YesStyle stocked it so you should be able to purchase from them if you are keen.
You can get this at YesStyle or Shopee.
