Main Ingredients: Centella Asiatica Extract
Main Concerns Targeted: Hyperpigmentation, Scar healing
Review
As one of the hyped K-Beauty products for hyperpigmentation, I had to try this when I was trying to heal my hyperpigmentation. I saw this being recommended by Makeup Artist YouTuber Arang who was sharing how it helped her acne scars. The product has an ointment balm texture and creates an occlusive over the skin while the Centella asiatica helps with healing the skin gently. I only applied it on problem spots and I did notice results for hyperpigmentation after a couple of days to a week. However, redness or inflammation related problem spots did see results within a day. I do think for deeper scarring you may need to use either pharmacy grade products that contain hydroquinone or products with more active ingredients like niacinamide at higher concentrations. However, as it is cica based it is going to be gentle on the skin without causing skin sensitivities when the skin barrier is damaged or skin is reactive.
Would I Recommend?
Yes, especially if you are looking for a product that spot tackles acne and hyperpigmentation. It is fairly priced albeit on the more expensive side for K-beauty considering the quantity of product you get. If you already have products with active ingredients tackling acne and hyperpigmentation or pharmacy grade products, you may not require this. However, if you are struggling to fade acne scars more quickly, this is worth a try. It does contain ylang ylang fragrance so do remember to patch test first especially if you have sensitivities to fragrance.
