Review
A product that gained popularity soon after Innisfree rebranded and changed up their packaging. I presume this was already relatively known but the new packaging made branding did allure me to try it more so that it previously did. I only used this in the mornings before moisturiser and sunscreen. Itās a very gentle concoction as is to be expected by K-Beauty formulations. The product is dispensed in a dropper which may bother some due to the sensitivity of vitamin C when it comes into contact with the air and quickly oxidises. I personally did not feel that to be a bother as I used it up a few months after purchase. However, I do think airtight packaging would deliver more potent results especially with respect to hyperpigmentation. The product is not very runny and has weight to it and some oil content to it without feeling greasy. There are suspended orange bits in the formulation and it spreads easy and provides some instant hydration upon application. With the affordable price tag for a vitamin c serum, I canāt complain much. I did notice improvement in skin texture before any improvement in hyperpigmentation with its hydrating formulation and the mildly exfoliating properties of green tea enzyme. I would say prolonged use is required to see improvements in hyperpigmentation. I did not experience acne while using this so I cannot attest to its effectiveness with combating acne but it did not break me out or make my skin feel imbalanced. The formula does leave a nice skin like glow on the skin and it works well under makeup.
Would I Recommend
Yes, especially if you are a beginner to vitamin C. If you are a regular vitamin C user, you may enjoy this as well but do note fading hyperpigmentation may take a couple of weeks. It is competitively priced and provides a good, simple, fuss free vitamin C serum option. This would work for all skin types but the texture may be even more appreciated by dry skin folks. However, as it does not feel oily or heavy, it would probably work well for oilier skin as well. It would probably be sensitive skin friendly as it does not contain fragrance but if you are concerned do patch test before using.
You can get this at Sephora, Olive Young Global, YesStyle or Shopee.
