Even though my skin generally leans dry, I do get increased oil production when my periods are nearing and this product is ideal for me to use during that time. While being gentle, it helps to keep excess sebum at bay while gently calming down any inflammation or developing zits/pimples. The consistency is quite lightweight with some viscosity and absorbs into the skin quickly. I do notice a general improvement in skin texture and inflammation with continuous use and my pores appear a bit smaller and less congested. You may still need to use a pimple patch or spot treatment on deeper pimples or cystic acne but it overall does a good job at preventing acne and soothing the skin while providing some hydration.
Would I recommend?
Yes, especially if you are sensitive and acne prone. If you are like me and would have periods where you have increased oil production, it would be useful to use during those periods as well. If you have an inflamed area on your skin, using this product in conjunction with a soothing toner pad with tea tree may also prove to be effective. When I purchased this product, it also came with the Bring Green Tea Tree Cica Soothing toner pad and I used it over an inflamed area of my skin where I was experiencing breakouts. After about 10-15 mins, I did notice significant calming of my skin and some of the zits had also flattened a little. The price point of this product is also competitive to other blemish care products in K Beauty like ISOIās blemish serum or Aesturaās Cica Blemish calming serum. While I have not yet tried the other two products, I can vouch for this productās formulation and effectiveness.
