Main Concerns Targeted: Dryness, Skin barrier
Review:
I am generally a fan of Dr Jart’s sheet masks, and their ceramide and cica lines. I find them to be elegantly formulated and effective and delivering hydration and calming the skin. And this product is no different. I would describe the consistency to be somewhat similar to a milky toner but with more weight to it that may be somewhere between a toner and a lotion. I feel that it gives an immediate boost of hydration to the skin upon application and does tackle redness and dryness well. I do notice some surface level redness decrease a few hours after application. I do like to have a skincare product that addresses skin barrier as part of my regular routine and this satisfies that need. It does absorb quickly and works well under makeup. It also does not feel heavy under summer weather and I assume you can layer more if needed in the colder months.
Would I Recommend:
Yes, especially to dry skin folks. It may seem like a simple product in terms of what it does and it has other milky toner competitors with the famous Laneige cream skin and Tir Tir milk toner amongst others. The price point of. Dr Jart is also generally a little higher than both Laneige and Tir Tir. As skincare is personal, I would say it also comes down to personal preference and you may prefer this over other milky toners if you like a richer consistency in your product. This also contains denatured alcohol which I assume was added to help provide the consistency and aid in quick absorption. However, if you have sensitivity to the ingredient or have very sensitive skin, do take note and avoid or patch test before use.
You can get this at Sephora or Amazon.
